My left forearm now bears the name of the daughter I aborted and the day she died.

How beautiful and special Carla. I'm a huge fan. Did the tattoo artist ask what it meant? Did you get a chance to share your story?

He asked and I told him and he said how very sorry he was. Then he told me his abortion story.

Carla, I love it that you're using this for good. How neat that it opened the door for the tattoo artist to share his story. Proud of you, girl.

Carla, I can't believe I missed this opportunity to go with you--I will cancel all dates the next time you go, I promise. the tattoo looks awesome, and I am very proud of you. I am also very proud of how you are up front with people and open to sharing their stories as well. That man probably got a lot more than commission that day. You are a good friend and a strong woman.

Thank you, dear people!!

I couldn't figure out where I wanted it. My ankle? Shoulder? Back?
I wanted to be able to read it and realized later that it is where Aubrey would have nestled her sweet baby head, had she been born.
