Sound Check

Sarah needed to pick up a birthday present for her bestest girlyfriend. We found the perfect gift and then bought the usual household necessities. I was checking out motor oil(10W30, 10W31-whatever it takes)when I heard music BLARING from the car stereo section. My girl was running toward me with her ears plugged. I escorted her back to the stereos and tried in vain to lower the volume. There are only 15 or so systems. I kept yelling at Sarah to point to the one she was "testing" but she couldn't hear me! I finally just started pushing every button like some mad scientist. As the Automotive Sales Associates were making their way to me, I found the magic button. I sensed that my daughter was a tad mortified because she stuck to me like glue and said,"The whole store must have heard that!!" Yep.

I'm surprised that there wasn't a like of 50 teenagers looking for the SWEET stereo that could go that loud. Do you realize the there will be a generation of deaf people in the next 20 years? Makes me want to go to audiology school. I know, too loud, too old.
