Communion

Today was communion at our church. I love watching Joshua. He always takes the cup that is full to the brim. It is usually in the middle of the tray and as he tries so hard not to drip on himself, he begins to shake. It is hysterical, at a time when one should not react hysterically! Many a white shirt and pair of light pants have been christened with juice, of course. (I believe children must see light to white colored clothing as an empty canvas.) Joshua also has a unique way of singing. If there is a solo part to a song he sings along. Out loud. He then remains quiet the rest of the song. I love my son dearly and can only smile at what I know is just my Josh doing what he does best. Being Josh.
