I do not fight my children over food. They do not have to take as many bites as equals their age, they do not sit for hours over food that makes them hoark, they are not members of the Clean Your Plate Club. If they do not like what we are having they are welcome to stay for the stimulating conversation and then they are excused. When they are hungry later I heat up the same thing we had for dinner and they usually eat it. Or not.
I need to save my energy when I battle Sarah next year on what she wears to middle school. That is a battle I will fight. And win.

Go Momma Carla! You pick your battles well.
wo.man. You rock. And I love the word hoark.
I have the moms that walked this journey before me to thank!! THANK YOU!!
Two words - school uniforms
Modesty Rules!
Preach it.
A school uniform for Sarah even if the school doesn't have school uniforms.
I like it.
She seems to dress modestly right now...
I know I was fearful when Mary was in size 16 -- nowhere to go but to juniors and butt writing.
But I have been lucky. She is a modest dresser, too. Keeping my fingers crossed that it lasts.
I am bracing myself for the fight about clothes. :)
