Monday night went roller skating with the family. Even though I haven't been on traditional skates in 30 years(Wheel-A-While!!)I managed to stay upright. The trick I realized is to avoid everyone especially the dozens of 4 year olds windmilling crazily in roller blades. I did not fall which is the goal I set for myself. I now have a bad case of screaming calves and whiny thighs. Where's the heating pad?

Ooh, getting older is tough. I've found that memories don't hurt like the real thing does. When I was young, we skated at night on a lighted rink and there was a boathouse where they sold hot chocolate!!
Such great memories! Your kids will appreciate the time you spend with them!
Roller or ice, Janet?
Carla,
Ice skating. It was free, and we traded in our skates (all used) as we grew and/or passed them down to our siblings. It was very popular back then - they had races every Saturday morning and I even won a ribbon or two. My Mom and Dad skated, my brothers played hockey. The social center of town! I think they put too many chemicals on the streets now in winter. The lake doesn't freeze like it used too! It's a shame. There are a few skating areas around these days - they're pretty much "frozen puddles".
Wonderful memories, Janet! :)
Definitely! Thanks for asking!
Getting older definitely cuts into my fun time. Deep tissue - have you tried Arnica-Montana - it's an remedy - homeopathic med put out by those little blue Borian tubes. That helps that sort of thing. And cold may be better on that bruise than hot??? :) Just some of my thots - take them or leave them. :)
