That really brings back memories for me. I am a passable baker now, but growing up I loved to "experiment." I have a photo of a layer cake that I made where it is one part cake and three parts icing, leaning like a not-so-great Tower of Pisa. Another time I made fudge that we drank with a straw. The list goes on and on. The important thing is to keep trying! And to try what you make. Even though the cookies maybe don't look like what you expected, they probably taste good.
Hey Brenda! What strikes me so funny about this is that my Sarah Beara really wanted an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. Even though she and I have baked together for years. The look on her face when she saw what a 100 watt lightbulb can bake was priceless. :)
Oh my gosh! You can't tell exactly by the picture that the cake is one of those 1.5" diameter Easy Bake cakes! And I have to say, Mary got her Easy Bake oven last year. Imagine OUR surprise when we realized you needed to put the 100W lightbulb in to get anything cooked! And how about the price for those little cakes and cookies?

Happy New Year!

Karla,
I think we bought the oven more for Mommy than for Sarah. I always wanted one when I was a little girl.
Didn't miss much did I??
