I drove into the parking lot of Joshua's youth group. I parked and opened my door. Joshua turned to me with a look of sheer panic on his face. He yelled, "Where are you going?!" I told him I was walking into the building. With him. I watched him quickly get ahead of me and I stayed the customary parental distance behind. Whew, that was close! Someone totally might think I was his mom or that he was my son! Next time I might just hold his hand or break into song or whine, "Joshua, wait for meeee!" The possibilities are endless.
Bring it on, Josh. Muwhahahahaha
I am seriously going to have to brush up on these.

I make it my mission to intentionally embarrass my teenage sons in public. Walmart is my favorite venue.
Good job, Jeff!!
I told Eli one time when I picked him up at youth group that if it took him that long to come out to the car again, I would come in and get him. And I would be loud. And I would dance. And sing.
I don't think he believes me. Kinda hope he dawdles again someday...
You should definitely hold his hand next time! Glad my boy is only 8 and would totally hold my hand in public.
I can hold Joshua's hand. When nobody is looking. :)
LOL
