You and Me

Had to get caffeinated before grocery shopping yesterday. I stopped at Kwik Trip. The friendly woman behind the counter said, "Thank you! You have a nice day now!" I said, "You." That is what I said. YOU! What?! I might have meant You Too or You Have a Nice Day Too or Thank You! I could have meant You Are Welcome or You Are Too Kind or You Make the Best Coffee In The World! I didn't say what I meant and will blame it on being precaffeinated.
YOU?! That's what I said?!
It's all about you.

Carla, I'm sure I've done that many times too! You just pretend like you didn't say anything and walk away as quickly as possible, right? Brian was hilarious. Bethany should put that one up.

Anon was me. Oops.

She might have taken it as a compliment if she thought you said "ewe."

It's all about ewe, Henrietta.

Ewe said that rather sheepishly, Carla.

When I was going through my Amish phase I had this conversation:

Cashier: Have a nice day! Thank you!

Henrietta: Thou.
