I do preschool at home with Nathan. We are working on the alphabet right now. Writing the letters, saying their sounds, finding pictures with that sound. All of my material is homemade Mommy drawn with love stuff. Yesterday was the letter I. While Timmers licked the glue stick and tried to cut his hair with a scissor, Nathan said, "Mom, that looks nothing like an igloo."

Ha! You and I must be from the same genes...I've heard the same from my Nathan. And he's right. :)
I can understand why he would call you on that one--him and all his Alaskan Tundra experience.
"Yo, Nanook, you draw one then!"
Ha! Sounds like my boy...always correcting Mommy (at 4!)
Black marker cubes in a dome shape drawn on white paper... it was an igloo.
From the sound of yesterday's post, he's living in an igloo.
So Timmers licked igloo stick while Mommy's igloo sucked?
Yah - guess you needed Black paper and White crayon ... :) It was a dark nite in Nome, Alaska - and they decided to build an igloo as they were FAR from home and on a hunting expedition and had to keep warm that nite. Most don't know that is the reason for igloos - they are "tents" of the olden days ... and no - Alaskan's don't live in them - the Eskimos/Yupik/Malemutes/Inuits - build them ... I don't know about anymore though.
Hey the glue stick sounded tasty - send one over here - :)
Timmers wanted to compare the taste of the glue stick to your organic deodorant. I saw him give that a good lick the other day. Who can blame him? The deodorant likes like a lolly pop.
I will let you know how the octopus goes over for the letter O. I can only blame myself.
FUNNY! Hey 2 words Carla - 8 legs!!! ;) Count them like the Count on Sesame Street when you're drawing them. :)
it didn't look like an igloo because it was supposed to be an iguana... right?
If you would have drawn an iguana with square scales it could have been an igloouana.
OH!I crack myself up.
Dang, Kristi totally took my igloouana comment. She is ALWAYS doing that to me!
Sorry Erin. Kristi IS quick with the quips.
