My husband "gets" me. He knows how to humor me. We have a marriage retreat coming up. Our tenth year. I have to smile when I think of all the years we fought on the drive up there and then had to bear and grin it all weekend. Sometimes the expectations were too high, the longing to stay an extra week, too overwhelming. I usually screw it up. Patrick said this to me yesterday. "The marriage retreat is this weekend. Please don't do anything to screw it up."

You don't need to take all the credit babe. I do my fair share of screwing things up just before the BIG (BIG, HUGE, Fix-It-All-Now) weekend.
We had a blow out on the way to our Marriage Encounter weekend. You know, the one that preps you for the marriage? Luckily, our blow-outs sound like yours - few... and strategically timed?
Yeah Pat. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST MARRIAGE RETREAT EVER!! No expectations at all. :)
Karla,
Few? No. Forgiven? Yes.
I am positive you are not the only ones who have a big ol' fight on the way up. Just as I am positive Matthew and I are not the only ones who fight on the drive to church Sunday mornings. I think Satan just wants "in" on the action.
I pray all you FCCers have a blessed weekend.
Well, at least you get to go.
I am pouting.
A comment like that from my hubby would make me so mad we would NOT be going on our lovely weekend.
Talk about stress.
I am sorry LL that you are not going. :(
I am glad that you get to go....Even if you do fight this week, or even on the way up there, Isn't making up the best part of it :)
Yes. Making up is good.
I would be mad at my husband too at what he said....if he were serious. He makes me laugh.
