A Christmas Letter

Dear Offspring,
I know you are struggling with a case of the Christmas Gimmies with a touch of the I Wanties. I am sorry that your eyes are bulging and your tongues are wagging and your heads are spinning with every new toy coming at you. I Gotta Have It is running rampant around here. I am grateful that I am not able to buy you everything you want. We simply cannot afford it. If we could I STILL would not buy you everything you want. We have everything we need! You are well aware that there is no Santa. I am glad. Why should some jolly, round cartoon character get all the credit for the gifts? Also, maybe we should take a walk down to the piles of Last Year's Christmas Gotta Haves. Those toys are yard sale fodder for sure.
Let us once again turn our eyes to the reason for the season. The savior of all mankind came to earth as a babe and that my dear cherubs is the greatest gift of all. Yes, I shall be repeating this all again lest you forget by December 25th.
I love you too much to give in to your whines. You shall grow into grateful, giving human beings who are content with what you have.
Merry Christmas!!
I love you,
Mom
