Redo

One would think I only had one wild child named Nathan. Let's see now. There is Joshua. He is struggling in 4th grade. Struggling because he doesn't want to do the work that is assigned to him. He scribbles away and tries to pass it off as his best and then get on the computer. His class plays Club Penguin or some such nonsense. Joshua's teacher expects his best work on everything. I know. How dare she?! I told my eldest that he needed to rewrite some homework for me because I couldn't read it. Ooooh. A pencil flew, the assignment was crumpled and assorted coats were thrown to the floor and trampled. I called my husband before I lost my cool. That was just wrong. Josh knew it and I knew it. He stewed a bit in his room and came up to apologize and pick up. He rewrote the assignment and WOW! What a nice job! I could read it, it made sense, every i was dotted and every t was crossed. Club Penguin just might be the leverage I need.

Oh, Carla! I SO know what you're talking about. We've had problems with NB's homework for three years now. This year, his teacher is very strict about it and helps us to ensure it's done. See, he got sick of the homework fights so stopped bringing it home altogether. This teacher doesn't let him get away with that for more than a day. LOVE her.
