Nails

I have abandoned my Lose 20 pounds in 2 days Plan for my husband's reunion. It's just not happening and...well...it's not my reunion! My new plan is to paint my nails. It's still tricky. I haven't done my nails in years what with the drying time and the painting of the skin and the inevitable smooshing of it. I did them and was pretty impressed with how they turned out. Joshua has a way of keeping me humble of course. "Hey, Joshua what do you think of this color?" "Mom, you know when you smash your fingernail and then it gets all black and blue and gross? It looks kinda like that."
Oh, that sweet boy. It's called Sand Dune, buddy.

"Sand Dune." Yeah, I'm sure that's what he meant to call it.

Nail drying tip: rinse or dip your wet polished nails in cold water. Even a few seconds helps harden the enamel and they dry faster.

Fun experiment with kids: plop little droplets of nail polish in a cup of water and watch them immediately bead up. What causes this?

I bet Sarah would appreciate your nails. 20 lbs in 2 days does seem like a bad idea. I hope you have a great time at the reunion!

I think we're gonna need a photo!
Also, can we have a photo of you and Pat all dressed up for the occasion? We gotta see this dress!

I love having my nails painted, but I NEVER have the time for them to dry!!

None of the tips I've tried have worked, but I'm going to try the cold water one. Why DOES that work, kj?
