A Pattern
We had a playdate yesterday and as the children bonded, my hostess and I made lunch. I reached into the cupboard to retrieve a plate and sucked in my breath when I saw it. It was the set of dishes I grew up with.(Not THE set. You know what I mean.) The same crazy geo pattern of turquoise shapes and gray lines. I was 4 again. After sitting in timeout for not eating my lunch, I pushed some kids, threw some toys and pulled the doggie's tail. I ran around so nobody could catch me and when I was told to go home for a nap I screamed, "I didn't do nussin!!"
