Excused

How do you know when to send a once sickly child back to school? When that temperature goes down, or they stop throwing up or that pesky pox turns to scabs. My method may be a bit unorthodox but is tried and true. The sure sign in this house? When the bickering begins, skip off to school cherubs! The mayhem started when princess woke up and started in on her younger brother. Feeling better then? Ok.
This is the note I sent to school with the girl this morning.

Please excuse Sarah Stream. She was absent 9-19-07 due to illness.
She napped for much of the day and then ordered me around.
Thank you!

Here's the criteria at our house:
FVDBBB
Fever
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Broken Bone
Blood

If you have any or all symptoms, you may stay home from school.

Once they are fighting with each other then they are better! For me its the opposite. Once I stop being crabby then I am getting better.

LOL!!!!

Benny stayed home Monday, by 4pm he was pushing his sister down and screaming at me, Tuesday I sent him back - snotty nose and all!

Carla, I think you are hilarious, would you accept the honor of being October's Blog of the Month over at BlogMommas.com? If yes, please just shoot me a quick email and I will give you the scoop. :)

The school called and made me pick up Maddie yesterday because she threw up. This kid throws up when the wind changes. I knew she wasn't sick the minute I brought her home. How? She broke into battle with Rowan in the first five seconds!

I bet that note made Sarah's teacher and the office "ladies" smile. That's cute.
