Bathing

I am a huge fan of baths. I would like to take one again someday. I have pondered how often 4 cherubs should be bathed. The words every and night came to mind and then I shuddered at the thought. I do actually know women who bathe children every and night. I do not aspire to this. So, I do the best I can 2-3 times a week. Thank goodness the 10 year old can handle most the job, although after an hour soak, one would think his hair would be wet. The 6 year old needs a little help with her tresses and then she swims alone. The 3 year old and 15 month old can be bathed together although I don't recommend it. There is double the splashing and penis play. I am so looking forward to summer. Swimming totally counts.

You are right. Swimming totally counts! Especially at camp. Ask most boys when they return from a week at bible camp.

I am with you! DH takes care of bathing DS1 who takes a bath almost every night....it just is part of his routine. I take DS2 and he only bathes 2-3 times a week and when it is time for that - I pass him to DH for dual bathtime.

Totally counts....Jace pretty much has to shower every other day in the winter and everyday in the summer. He has man smell already! Eeew! Deodorant and the whole nine yards. Boys are sweaty!

I figure skimping on bath time during the earlier years makes up for the water shortage that comes with teenage shower-mania.
