I packed up my two little boys this morning. I thought it would be a snap which is why I left it until the last minute. Let's see...rice cereal, formula, bottle, wet wipes, diapers, clothes, bassinet, bouncy seat, swim trunks, shoes, socks, books, snacks......get the picture?? We were going camping!! Well, you can be the judge of that. We met the rest of the fam at a campsite where I put #4 down for a nap, which lasted a refreshing 36 minutes. I fed him his baba and rice cereal, while at the same time I watched #3 and tried to track with adult conversation. I took 4 trips to the bathroom which was over the river and through the woods. I sensed a lull before lunch so I put my head back on my chair and when anyone dared address me I barked, "I'm on vacation!" After a tasty sandwich lunch, I packed up all baby boy paraphernalia and hit the road to make it home in time for nappies.
Someone will ask me what I did this weekend and I will of course say, "I went camping." They don't need to know that it was for 3 1/2 hours.

Long enough for me!
You're a brave woman. It's a daunting task. I'm proud of you.
Now, add mosquitoes the size of Bald Eagles, a thunderstorm of epic proportions with torrential downpours that inevitably caused a Noah-and-the-ark-type flood in our tent, and you will get why I drove home in my pajamas at 3:00 in the morning.
I just don't sign up for that treat anymore. Call me crazy.
I admire you for going camping, too. It's just not my bag, babe. (I'm sure you're surprised...)
