Amen

For a change, I thought Nathan could say grace before we ate. So I asked him, "Nathan will you please say grace?" He said, "Grates, Amom."

When my Owen was 4 he was seen bowing his head in silent prayer before eating a snack. His sister asked if he'd prayed and he said he had. She asked what he said and he replied, "Oh I prayed but I didn't listen."

Sweet story. What are the ages of your 11 cherubs?

21, 20 (in a few weeks), 18, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 6 1/2, 4, 2 months. Eight boys and the girls are 18, 15, and 4. We keep a notebook in a kitchen cupboard where we write humorous quotes from the innocents. The children call it "The Funny Book", that story is one of the entries. The most recent came last week from 4 year old Lisa, said with one of those sneaky expressions in a lowered voice--"When I die, I'm gonna try to get up."
