No time

I started having contractions tonight. I mean I have had them for awhile. Once or twice a day. This was the real thing. I had to lay down with paper and pencil and time them! I quickly realized I don't have time for contractions! The kids were completely unglued in the living room, dishes from supper were stacked up on the counters, every mitten, hat, scarf and boot lay in a big winterwear tossed salad in the entryway, the floor needed mopping and besides all that...there were presents to wrap! The kids were tucked into bed and Mommy became completely unglued in the living room. I started yelling at my husband, "I don't have time for this! I can't have a baby right now!" Pat said he would call it off if I really wanted him to.
