The Patriots
Now that fall seems to be officially upon us, I find myself thinking back over Stream Summer. What I remember most is the fireworks. I wish I could tell you that I saw an amazing display on the 4th. Unfortunately, our next door neighbors shoot off fireworks from early June until late July. I kid you not. Every afternoon about 1pm(this households "quiet time") and then every evening. Now, if they were celebrating the independence of our nation, honoring fallen heroes or highlighting the ongoing fight for freedom, I wouldn't be so negative but, we are talking high school boys with brick after brick of bottle rockets!! Around July 20th we noticed at 1pm the bottle rockets were being shot in our direction. They were hitting our windows, heading over the fence and raining down on our front yard! I asked Pat if he might have some input. He went outside and pointed them in the right direction. He then asked, "How many of those do you have left??!!" We heard the answer the whole neighborhood was waiting for...2!! The bottle rockets were shot off and then we really celebrated!! The boyz and their noyz had declared a cease fire...until next June.
