Date Night

My love of 15 years is taking me to the MN State Fair tonight!! It was one of our first dates and we continue our yearly pilgrimmage to the Great Minnesota Get Together!! The change jar has been emptied, which is allocated for this night, the babysitter is at the ready and I am as excited as I was when Patrick took me 15 years ago!! We usually do the same things year after year. We park for free and take a shuttle bus, see the big boar and the little piglets, also the horses and sheep and then we people watch. Oh, and EAT! The menu for tonight...Corn dogs, brownies, french fries, chocolate chip cookies, cheese curds and chocolate malts. There is a method to the madness. After having something salty, one must seek out the sweets. We have never been very adventurous as far as food goes. We will not be trying Walleye on a stick tonight or Squirrel on a stick for that matter. Who wants to pay $6 for something that doesn't even sound good?! After a ride on the Ferris Wheel we will call it a night. The Streams stick to the basics and always have some story to tell. Like the year I accidently flushed my sunglasses down the toilet or taking Sarah at a mere 3 weeks old, or the time Pat and I fell asleep in a shady, grassy spot and woke up hours later! So, we will see you tonight at the Fair!!
