Teacher Mom

After Joshua was delivered safely to school, Sarah and I got down to business! Kindygarten!! We did the Pledge of Allegiance. (We say "Under God" at this school.) We did the calendar and then alphabet flashcards. She recognizes the letters, S,A,R,A,H. Which is extraordinary if I do say so myself. I tried to help her with some of the sounds of the letters but she started to lose her patience with the game and we moved onto numbers. She counted to 23. cool. She traced her name, did a color, cutout and glue worksheet on the letter T and then an art project and the first day of school was history! I noticed she started acting teacherish right away.."I am going to do this puzzle and then this workbook." I gently reminded her that Mom was The Teacher. So, the rest of the time she kept saying,"Yes, teacher. No, teacher. Ok, teacher." I had fun today in school and loved how excited she was at the simplest projects! So, one successful day down and a couple hundred more to go!

Hi Chels!!
