Ultrasound

I had an ultrasound last week and am happy to report that all is well. All of the parts were there and baby even had urine in the bladder. (oh, sweet) I must admit I could not make out much of anything in the fuzziness of the screen. I did notice femurs kicking madly, skull turning from side to side and the heart beating and then the doctor pointed out the eye sockets. Ye gads, but the eye sockets were not all that attractive!! In fact, the whole episode was like The Skull and Crossbones Show. But, IT'S A BABY!! OUR BABY!! EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S A BABY!! The doctor said he was hoping we wouldn't want to know the sex because he didn't have any idea...so he said it's a boy!! What??!! Needless to say, I am not painting anything baby blue just yet, or washing tiny baby boy clothes! I shall wait for the moment when I see the penis...or not. Now, the ultrasound picture hangs proudly on the Harvest Gold fridge and there is not one thing I recognize. But I have come up with what I think are truly original nicknames. Skully Stream? Skeletor Stream? SkullBaby? Take your pick.
