The Game

Last night Joshua and I poked around WalMart to purchase a ring for his girl. Much to our dismay, the ring machines were Out of Order. Joshua just couldn't leave without buying SOMETHING, so he decided to try his hand at the crane and candy game. You know the game, the one where the crane barely touches the candy. On the first try, Joshua whipped the crane around and then dropped it on the plastic partition between the candy you will never get and the candy you will never get. As the crane scraped off the partition, I laughed and received THE LOOK from my boy. Sorry. Second try and the crane made its way to a big pile of candy, scooped some and dropped some and ended up with NA DA. Third try and Joshua was sooooo warmed up!! The crane went back to the same pile. Joshua scooped up a bunch and brought it to the happy place where you retrieve it. The big bunch of candy turned out to be 2 Sweet Tarts and 1 Tootsie Roll all for the low, low price of 75 cents! (Now tell me, what would be the harm if every child received a goodly sum of candy?? Would that be so wrong??) In the van, Joshua mentioned, "That game is such a rip off!!" Nothing gets past him.
