Plans

There is a tension rising up in my person. I face it every year at the end of May, beginning of June. It is called The End of the School Year. I try to get organized and plan fun things and have a list of moms to call for playdates. I start implementing tons of incentives so I am not yelling my fool head off by September. I just might struggle to be a good summer mom with a Tim age 5 on up to a Josh of 14. Easy? No. But it can be done as summers that have come before attest to. We have done summer. We have had fun and learned and made memories. But I must prepare.

I am reading three books simultaneously. Cramming for finals as it were.
1. Creative Correction by Lisa Whelchel
2. Have a New Kid by Friday by Kevin Leman

Some of the positive reinforcement I am implementing from Creative Correction.
Good Manner Beans-a jelly belly for every please, thank you and please pass the at the dinner table.
Raffle-I have prizes and a roll of tickets. When a Stream does a random act of kindness they can write their name on the back of a ticket to be drawn at the end of the week. Walmart gift card is the first prize.
Chip jars-A full jar of poker chips for first time obedience earns Josh and Sarah a trip to the Mall of America and Nathan and Tim a trip to Como Zoo.
Treasure Box-A filled chart for displaying Fruits of the Spirit will earn a prize.

SUMMAH!!! BRING IT!!!
