Resources

I do have a library of books that I have read and reread over the years. Although when I have needed real human help the last thing I wanted to hear is, "Hey, I have a good book for ya!!"

Where is God When it Hurts?
by Philip Yancey

Hope When You're Hurting
by Dr. Larry Crabb and Dr. Dan B. Allender

An Adult Child's Guide to What's "Normal"
by John and Linda Friel

Boundaries
by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend

A Sacred Sorrow-Reaching Out to God in the
Lost Language of Lament
by Michael Card

The Wounded Woman
by Dr. Steve Stephens and Pam Vredevelt

Captivating
by John and Stasi Eldredge

Loving Your Body
by Dr. Deborah Newman

Beauty by the Book
by Nancy Stafford

And now back to our regularly scheduled funnies.

Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend is wonderful.
Another book I highly recommend to everyone is "Telling Yourself the Truth, by Marie Chapian and William Backus.

wow. thank you for sharing so much to the blogosphere. i am one heart that was so encouraged in the stand my husband and i are taking with my birth-family. it was strengthening, really. to see what you have been through, that you have not seen them for 8+ years, yet you are still shining for Christ...you are "healthy". you are still living without them..which my family thinks is impossible to do. (: but i am a healthier me when i am distanced. ugh..babbling again... i am just so lifted up by your sharing. THANK YOU!
