I was at a talk last week where a speaker reminded us that our children aren't really "ours." God gives them to us to take care of for just a little while. It is a sad, awful shame when parents squander this. You were a sweet girl who has managed to grow up into a woman who knows her true heritage.
It is painful to read about your story, but not as painful as it was for you to live it. God's grace has surely brought you through it!
You are inspiring. Your story is a very important reminder that we do not know what is going on in the lives of others.
