I have always been a little lax in the word usage department of the cherubs. I loved when they said "bisghetti." Sarah used to say fwim for swim and fweep for sleep. I didn't correct Nathan when he called his baby brother Dim. They have all talked their baby talk and I have let them. I do believe it is time to help Dim out a bit. He says him for he and her for she. I know. The horror.
"Hims my friend." "Her said that." "Hims not nice." "Hers in my class."
I have started helping him out but still love Dimspeak! I don't want it to end.

Oh that Dim, I love hers.
Carla, I love dimspeak too. Enjoy it while it lasts!! I miss when Noah stopped saying "Chowch" instead of "church", or "fwog" instead of "frog". I never corrected him either, because it was too adorable. He has outgrown it and I miss it! :)
I have to agree, Carla. It's hard to watch them leave behind the sweet words they used before. The more words Shirley gets "right," the less she is my baby! :)
My daughter used to say "buffaly" for butterfly. My friend in q8 LOVED it when she did that. She was heartbroken to learn she'd figured out how to say the correct word. She still says "be out" instead of "without" though. I know I should correct it but I'll leave it for the teachers. I want to enjoy it while I can.
