How Can I Help You?

My 3 youngest children love to swim in the pool and then have a freeze pop. This is what I get for asking what color everyone would like.

Sarah "I want purple. If there is no purple I'll take green."
Nathan "I want orange. If there is no orange I'll take red or blue."
Tims "I want blue. Not purple or red or geen."

By the time I get to the freezer and open the door to find only yellow freeze pops I have forgotten their orders anyway.

Solution: buy the box that has only one color. :)

Unsolicited advice. Mmmmmmm.

That would just be too easy, Kandi.

Yeah, but sometimes I like Red, and then Yellow. But other times I prefer Blue, and Green. But never pink.

Or, Monday's Red, Tuesday's blue, etc. That way everyone knows ahead of time. If they don't like that color? Ok. There's always tomorrow.

Carla, you should see (well, you don't have to, you just explained it with the pops!) me trying to get lunch orders on school morning. I ask them like 3 times and keep forgetting. And I can only do one kid at a time if I expect them to have breakfast done and teeth and shoes on.

But thanks to summer vacation, I only need to get confused with the pop orders. For six more weeks anyway.

:o)

If my kids want cold lunch they have to make it themselves. I am nice about freeze pops I guess. :)

Has the countdown to school begun, Karla with a K?

Not by a long shot. But that's because I'm kind of a phony. Mark is a teacher so he's home, too. But he always goes back before the kids do. I'm good for about one day. Maybe. (see, pure phony!)
But I make up for it during the year when he's teaching and has choir rehearsals and gigs. The balance in our lives is similar to that of a table with seven legs all of different lengths. This is our well deserved breather.

Have you started the count? Or are you looking forward to the Dadcation, where everyone stays home with Dad and you leave?

I keep doing that. I've been volunteering at the church for a few hours. And visiting my Dad in the hospital (just had his second knee replacement surgery. (Can I ask for prayers? He's had a fever and they haven't found out what from yet. Thanks!))

Countdown to school hasn't started yet here either. Except for the countdown to November elections. I think we are under 100 days for that. :)

I will pray for your Dad.
