Reflections

1. Easy Bake Ovens. Don't believe the hype. Sarah baked a teeny, tiny birthday cake for Jesus, spread on the chocolate frosting and said, "Ish."

2. Keeping The Littles up until 10pm on Christmas Eve still had them bouncing around Christmas Day by 6am.

3. Sarah has been practicing Hot Cross Buns on her recorder for music class. Every.Single.Day. The notes which emanate from the instrument only slightly resemble the tune Hot Cross Buns.

4. When a wrapped car yells, "I Am Speed!" it is truly anticlimactic to Tims when he opens the thing.

5. A rescheduled Christmas Eve due to a winter storm is a good thing. 3 days of celebrating is just enough.

6. The Bigs headed to their rooms to play all of their new music CD's after present opening. Mommy was sad at this sign of things to come.

7. Christmas is over already??!!

8. Nobody really likes egg nog in this house. They pretend to and then leave their glasses half full on the counter. Fine. More nog for me. Nog. What a great word.

9. My grandma Nora would lecture me good if she saw what a horrid present wrapper I have become. She could wrap a present with only 3 pieces of tape. Sorry, grandma.

10. By early next week I will be singing a part of It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas. You know....the part that goes And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again!

Carla,

Do you have time for a chat?

I wish they made skim nog.

It's hard to believe Christmas is over, although technically it goes through Three Kings' Day on Jan. 6th. That makes the season too long for me. By then it almost feels like Lent.

Did you have the same weather recently that we did? The same system brought snow, sleet, rain, and then snow again (spinning around for four days). I think the fluffy stuff is STILL coming down. :)

I hope you had a beautiful Christmas with your family. I did. My two year old niece and I were chatting (as much as you can chat with a two year old) and all of a sudden out of her mouth came the emphatic words, "I SAID NO"! I'm not sure what I said to elicit that response but it was pretty funny. Her Mom sitting by us didn't think so and let her know she'd be given a time-out if it happened again.

My four year-old niece asked me if I'm a grandmother. My daughter thought that was pretty funny.

Silver bells....silver bells.... :)

Let's chat.

Since I only nog once a year I am fine with not so slim nog.

We had tons of snow and then rain and then more snow too. Walkin in a Winter Wonderland...

Love to chat with other people's kiddoes. So funny!

It's Chrismtas time in the city. :)

Hi Carla,
I say No. 7 every year the moment I go to bed on the 25th. As for No. 10, I love my kiddos more than anything but I am pretty sure I will be singing the same song before the week is out. Lovin' your "Reflections List". :) ~Jeanette
