I am going to share something about myself, although it seems I have been doing that here for around 4 years now. Here is a factoid about me. I do not like taking my shoes off when I go to your house. I just don't. I will take my shoes off but I won't like it and I won't say anything to you about not liking it either. I will take them off and shuffle in my socking feet and breathe a happy sigh when I can put my shoes back on. I have flat feet. I wear inserts, my feet get cold and I want to wear my shoes in your house. When you come to my house I will leave that up to you. Wear your shoes, don't wear your shoes. Leave them on, take them off. I care not.
Now you know.

We are shoe-taker-offers. With a dozen people traipsing around and babies often cruising the floors it helps me keep up a little bit in the cleaning department. (Not my best departement to begin with.) However, I tell my guests that they are welcome to keep their shoes on if they prefer. So, Carla, the next time you get over this way you are invited for lunch/coffee/tea/chocolate and you most certainly may keep your shoes on.
Oh, I so luv that I am not the only one that feels this way. :)

I'm with you. Especially if they have a pet. I don't want pet dander on my socks. Tell them you have a foot fungus, that'll scare them. Seriously, tell them you have medical condition that makes it painful to walk without shoes. That's the truth, right? Good luck!

If I do not wear my shoes all day every day in my house my lower back aches at the end of the day. The flat feet are courtesy of the four cherubs. I had arches and wore a size 8. Now? Flat feet and 8 1/2.
So worth it, though!! :)
