Helpful Hint

If you have a child with a November birthday you might want to check out the Halloween costumes that are 90% off right about now. Nathan is always thrilled to see Spidey, Power Rangers, Storm Troopers and Ninja Turtles as his birthday presents. Everyday is dress up day! Paying $5 for a $50 costume that is really only worth $5 makes good fiscal sense to me.

Is today his bifdai? Happy bifdai, Nathan (or, Happy Early Bifdai, Nathan)!

Fact of Life:

On your own birthday, it's always good to get your mom a present and a big Thank You card.

Especially if you're like me and were supposed to be born in May but instead decided to come out in June weighing a little over nine pounds at 2:45 in the morning.

Just a word of advice on your bifdai, Nathan: get your mom a gift.

Happy happy birthday from all of us to you...

Carla, What a great idea!
My brother and sister-in-law had a baby girl on the third. Cecilia is baby number five and has just one brother. (They love Halloween!)

Vannah,
The new baby weighed 9lbs.4oz. - about the same as you. She looks two months old with rolls of baby fat. Mommy is just 5 ft. tall. They are doing well.

I totally did the exact same thing for Ethan's bday in January. They are all safely put away!

omg, Carla, who does Pat want to dress up as?

And for that matter, Erin, who are you looking for?

Janet - congratulations on the new niece.

And, my husband has an aunt who buys her mom flowers every year on her own birthday. It's to thank her mom for giving birth to her. She was a later in life baby.

I have not seen my mom and dad or my two sisters for almost 8 years now. I refused to subject my own children to their abuse. Some choices are so very difficult. We are trying to change a legacy with God's help.

I guess that is a blog post that will someday need to written.....
