Joshua is concerned about one of his school friends. His buddy just got back from a two week vacation. The boy is overloaded with homework and struggling to get his locker open. Josh wants to help him out but seems he learned a lesson in here somewhere. He told me, "This is why I haven't taken a two week vacation, mom."

Makes me think of a story I once heard: A personnel manager was explaining to a new hire the policies and benefits of his new job. She said the usual yadda yadda and ended with "and after the first year, you are entitled to two weeks' paid vacation." The new hire looked dumbfounded, and asked, "To anywhere I want to go???"
Tell Josh to hold out for that vacation...
