YUM!

I found my inner Ingalls this weekend!! Thank you to the commenters that let me know about mulberries. The whole family helped in the harvesting, I found a recipe online and we ate a delicious pie! I hope to win a blue ribbon in the Walnut Grove Fair.

And you served it on a Grandma plate? Is that what I see? Well done, you.

Alright, if that's your own crust, (like without the help from the doughboy,) can I have the recipe?
Yum!

The light and flaky pastry crust was from a box. Sorry. I am not THAT Ingallized yet.

Beautiful pie! Are you talking about THE Walnut Grove a la the Ingalls Family? Cool. Good luck at the fair!

Janet,
Walnut Grove is in MN and I am in WI so I am out of luck.

A bit of trivia for you though-The Ingalls family lived for a time in Pepin, WI which is not far from us. :)

Everyone is invited over for pie. You pick em, I pie em.

I'm glad you posted this. I was driving home the other day and saw a tree full of what looked to me like black raspberries. Now the mystery is solved.
