46

Although grocery shopping is not my favorite momjob, I didn't mind running to the store to pick up a few things yesterday. I grabbed 2 packs of deli meat as the sign said 2 for $6! Couldn't pass that up. At the checkout I engaged in lively chit chat and watched my assistant ring up the meat for full price. I became one of the "hold the line uppers" for a price check. I was informed that yes the meat was on sale but not 2 for $6. Did she think I was lying?! I explained that they might want to change the sign. $3.23 a package is what I paid. I probably would go for something higher like a $2.50 lie, instead of a 46 cent one, if I am so inclined next time.

When I had that happen to me when I was a cashier. I went right to my boss and said, "this sign is wrong and I think the customer should get it for the posted price" and they usually let me do it.
