Potty Talk

I coined a phrase here on Fourby40 awhile ago and I am taking it out, dusting it off and repeating it over and over to myself as Tims wears his new Lightening McQueen big boy underpants.

You can lead a child to the toilet, but you cannot make him pee.

Sounds like what happens to me when I try to get my 2 year old to potty in the toilet.

Krystal,
I comfort myself with the thought that there aren't too many kindygarteners in diapers. We will get the job done! :)

Onward and upward.

I had a friend who worked with autistic children. To potty train, they gave them tons and tons to drink, then sat them on the toilet every 20 minutes.
In your opinion, would this work?
I have high hopes for potty training in the next year.

Right now #4 wears diapers when he wants, underpants when he wants, goes where and when he wants and I clean up the puddles.
I was more enthusiastic with Josh.
I'm tired, kids. So tired.

I didn't really answer your question, Erin. So far I have had the most success with the Streamers that WANTED to do it. They all regressed with each new baby I had. So Tims has figured it out himself. He has brothers to observe.

Also, girls seem to be easier....I'm just sayin.
