My eldest son Joshua knows the way Pat and I were raised. He knows of the pain. He knows why we haven't seen my family in 7 years. His brain was working overtime yesterday. He said to me, "Mom, I know that yours and Dad's life as children wasn't easy. It was hard for you. I want to thank you for making my life so different from what yours was."

Awww...that is so sweet. Good job, Mama!
Wow...what a precious boy you have...Teared up here too.
Dear Josher, I love you more every day.
Ohhhh...if that isn't evidence of the fruit of your labor! And God's faithfulness. :)
Way to go!
What a moment! Treasure it and look for many more to come, he has an observant heart.
Tearing Up would be the appropriate title...for me, too. Good job you two.
sounds like your raising a very bright child. kudos to you Carla. thank GOD he knows that his life could be a lot differnt and with that hopefully he'll be able to use that same logic so something very good when he's an adult.
What a perceptive son. :) God bless you and Pat and him. :)
Thank you sweet friends! It melted my heart. We are heading in the right direction although being first generation Christians is not easy.
Wow, that is just amazing. You're a lucky woman!
Awesome.
How wonderful, Carla. God is using you mightily.
