Drugs
I bought some cold medicine last week for Timmers. To take the edge off so to speak. I was asked at the checkout for my birthdate. I thought it might be for some fun Youngest Shopper at Target contest. Nope. I had to be 18 years or older to buy generic cough medicine. Just made it. Whew. That was close. I was told that some druggies use it to make more and better drugs. Crazy. I am not as learned as I thought in the drug culture I guess. Who knew what you could make out of multi-symptom cold medicine in grape flavor?

They ID'd you because pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic amine found in over-the-counter cold remedies and a common precursor in the illicit synthesis of methamphetamine.
Just guessing.
I would like to continue thinking I was the youngest shopper. But thanks for the peek into the drug culture.
"18 years or older" includes ages over 65. Senior citizens are prohibited from buying pseudoephedrine. They might have been confirming that you didn't fall within the higher range.
I love getting ID'd. And I'm comforted to know that you're not very learned when it comes to making drugs, Carla.
Thank you Kara Jo. That probably is a good area for me to not pursue.
Thank you RT. I think.
Was the person asking younger than 18?
I was carded when I was 41. The 21 year old couldn't believe it and asked the older manager to check my license to make sure it was legit!
She didn't look much older than 18. But then neither do I!! heh
I can't figure out why sometimes my comments don't post?
They do post but now I moderate them cause of some naughty commenters I had awhile back.
