Sarah had a tough morning, which means Momma had a tough morning. She made some choices and received consequences that left her sobbing. She hit the trail late for school and without breakfast. I emailed her teacher and told her good luck with the lass. She emailed back to say that Sarah pulled herself together quite nicely. Tonight at bedtime, Sarah hugged me real tight and said, "Mom, I am so sorry about this morning. I was wrong. Will you please forgive me?"

My usually even-keeled daughter's been melting down quite a bit lately, too. And they've all been arguing.
I surprised myself by calmly telling them at dinner tonight that they were waring me out (or are they wearing me out? Too tired for that one right now.)
Anyway, some of them listened a little better for jammy time tonight, and I actually had time to read a few pages from Marley to them before sleep. (LOVE this book!)
Thanks, I needed that.
You're doing a good job, Mamma.
