Breaking the Rules

My husband Patrick had to get some projects done around the house and there were all of these children underfoot. I rounded up 4by40 and did some errands and ended up at the Burger King Kids Club. Wheeee. I made sure all of the shoes and coats were off, the socks were on and let them head on in to scream. I sat at a table and read the rules. I broke these three immediately.

1. Kids must be accompanied by a happy adult.
I hopped a fast train to Crabbsville.

2. Kids must be 4-10 years old.
Joshua is 11 and Timmers is almost 3.

3. Kids Club Fun ahead for kids 4 feet tall and under.
Joshua is almost as tall as his Momma, which really isn't too hard
as I am only 5'4.

I almost felt guilty for all of the above and then I realized when the cherubs are all up in the equipment playing and screaming no one else would know that they were mine.

I'll bet they had a lot of fun. They're really only guidelines, right?

They just put those there to keep the gangs out--as long as you didn't have any crack you were fine--right? I never got the sock thing either--aren't dirty socks from inside dirty shoes just as icky as dirty feet? Oh well-I guess they are only putting their hands where everyone elses feet etc etc have been and then eating...

We stopped at one on vacation once that had CNN playing on a big Tv in the corner-something for everyone!! LOLOL

You wear socks because they don't want to risk things like athlete feet. But I think I have seen kids with bare feet anyway. I don't think they check or care. I remember going into those play things when i was like 13. shhhhh

I played in them at the age of 37 with only 2 kiddoes. Shhhhh

The FCC high school youth have been known to have a blast in those. So has Wade.

Love the punch line. I'm sure those are just guidelines -- not RULES!
