It is time to celebrate! Hats. Horns. Confetti. We now have a working dryer! It has been napping since May. I did my best over the summer. Throwing shorts, tshirts, tank tops and swim suits over the railings and drying racks. I don't think I complained once. Which is some kind of record for me. I pulled out the fluffy, clean, warm clothes yesterday and inhaled a little bit of heaven. I shall scale to the summit of Mt. Soil today and ignore the water leaking out of the washing machine.

Congratulations on the new dryer AND on the hard work you did while drying clothes the old fashioned way (for months and without complaining)! I'm proud of you!
The good news is I saw the water about 4 months ago so we've already got a head start on my 6 month repair time line (i.e. if its still broken after 6 months, then its really broken and needs to be fixed.)
Wow! I line dry shirts as a norm, to extend the life. I have shirts 2 boys have worn, take them out for the third, and they're still pretty well shaped.
However. Line dryin' everything? Without complaint?
For months? You DO deserve an award.
(I guess it's just around the corner in the form of an unleaking washer?)
hey- Did you know that you don't have to have ANY Littles home on Wed. nights? Only ONE parent has to be working in the Awana program for that family to be allowed to bring ALL of their children to stick in the nursery & Lovebugs....AaaHhem.
Love,
A little Birdie
(alone time anybody?)
A Little Birdie,
I did not know that. The wheels are turning.
SSCCREEEEEECCCHHHHH!
Did you hear those breaks?
Yes, I heard the brakes.
Aww, Carla, you and my momma could swap stories about not having working washer and dryer. We didn't have a washer and dryer for quite a while back in the day. Summers at the laundromat with 2 teens, 1 pre-teen, and a little. She was not a happy lady.
