Fightin Sleep

My son Timothy, better known as Timmers has napped all of his life. He napped as he grew inside of me, only to waken when Momma needed a nap. We worked on nappies and settling himself to sleep for months and months after he was born. It is safe to say that we have been at it for almost 3+ years now and STILL he throws a complete snit when it is naptime and bedtime. STILL. My dear boy, it is time to give up this fight. The line has been drawn, the gauntlet thrown. Momma will wrestle you into your diaper and read to you while you fuss and put you down crying everyday, twice a day until you realize that I will win. Your Momma loves you enough to know that you need to sleep and by golly, by the time you are 15 I am confident that you will love your nappies.

Carla, I want you to know that I read all of your posts but the reason I don't usually comment is becuase if I commented on each one, I would just have a big, "LOL!" in it...not very creative...

Each of your posts truly makes me laugh out loud though!

I double dog dare you to write LOL in the comments of each of my posts. Ready, set, go.

By the time he's in college he'll LOVE naps. And then napping will get him in trouble because he'll have to decide if he's going to Bio 101 or taking a nap.
It's a slippery slope.

I agree with Bethany. I read your posts often and most of the time I am laughing or cracking a smile. :D

As far as erin's post... that makes me laugh too, because I know the I have been in that situation before. In fact I remember one time I decided to go to class instead of a nap and I ended up falling sleep in Biology 101. It really was biology too. Only time i ever feel asleep in class. opps. I didn't skip class very often for a nap. I can't even remember in fact. But I do know there were plenty of times i'd rather be sleeping.

I couldn't resist the double dog dare, so I did about 10 of them, but then, sadly, I gave up. You have so many posts on the front page! Wow!
Suffice it to say I LOL'ed to every one!

Dylan stopped napping at 2 years old, and now Shelby is trying it too! We need these Mommy breaks! What to do ? Shelby napped 3 hours a day all summer long, and now since the kids went to school I am lucky if I can get her to do 45 minutes. WTH.
Thus the need for our trip :)

When you're young you don't want to nap, when you're in school you don't have time for a nap and when you're older you can get enough naps!
Ahh, the circle of life.
I don't want to mention the need for a diaper.

Dearest Bethany,
LOL

You win.

I was going to say something like what Kristi Noser said, but she said it better! I'm at the "I can nap any time I want, phase, and I LOVE it!" :)

LOL. I have to agree with the others. I love coming here. I can always get a lift.

And...

I believe napping defines adulthood. When you *want* to take a nap, you a grown up ;-)
