Givin In

I have done two things against my better judgment as a parent. One yesterday and one today. Shame on me as the only parent on planet Earth that has done this.

At this point in my mothering career the grocery store is the bane of my existence. I loathe going with 2 cherubs under the age of 5. It is labor and delivery all over again. Almost.There.
One.More.Aisle.Push.That.Cart.Breathe.I.Can.Do.This.YEEESS! Yesterday Tims had a snitfit after I had taken 3 steps in the door. He flipped his lid over yogurt covered raisins. He wanted strawberry. He is the only cherub that likes strawberry and thusly I said no which only served to turn his volume to high. Granted on any other day, any other time, a stronger moment I would have chosen differently. The strawberry yogurt raisins are in the pantry.

This morning Tims threw up his eggs. I was going to send him tubward but he started whining for Cheee Oh's. My poor, sweet sickly baby. How does a mother bear explain to her cubby that the last thing she wants to do today is clean up Cheee Oh's that he cannot keep down? He had 2 bowls.

We all handle our moments differently. I am me. I do the best I can. I put it all into perspective by reminding myself that I may lose a battle here and there but I will win the war.

kristi,
I was 9 months pregnant with my 2nd. It was July. We had no air conditioning. I was in the basement trying to stay cool by sprawling on the cement floor.(nice visual)My son had licorice and cheese popcorn for lunch.

Hear ya...loud and clear. :)
