Busy Bee
For the time being, my husband works out of the office in our basement. I have a plan to insure that he knows I actually do lift a finger or two during the day. Whenever I hear his footsteps on the stairs I pretend to dust, mix something in a bowl or say, "Yes, Nathan that is biodegradable!" or "Timmers, you're right the economy is struggling right now." "Ok boys, let's give our pieces one more coat of glaze before we fire up the kiln." Patrick is not fooled. Anything to distract him from the fact that I am on the computer TOO much during the day! Huh? Blog? What blog?

...before we fire up the kiln. Woman, you kill me.
Get your sewing machine over here so it looks like I'm making clothes!! Hurry!!
Sometimes I sneak up without you noticing...the kids see me but you don't.
(Carla, doesn't he know we eyes in the back of our heads and that you are just humoring HIM?!)
I liked the kiln part, too.
oh, I meant to say I dusted today, too. About 4 times. In my head.
I have momsense. All 5 senses are on HIGH.
Dusting our heads could work too, Karla.
i'm not sure how i came to your blog, but i love your wit! this post was hilarious and sounded way too familiar! ahem, and your husband's comment made this one even more funny!!
nice to meet ya!
Hello Growin' With It,
Glad you blog hopped over!
Don't let my husband know that I am on the computer AGAIN!
Hilariousness! My husband has a home office and is here part of the time. I actually do some of these things (not the kiln one :)
when I hear him coming I quickly step away from the computer and say, "what Miles?" even if no one called for me. I figure he won't notice if I'm looking distracted and as if someone needs me. Every second. :)
Heather,
Oooooh..more good ideas!
My eldest Joshua was a master of that by 4 years old. Whenever I was "lecturing" he would yell, "Yeah, Dad??" :)
If I say "What Heather?" I think it will really throw him off.
And if you say "What Karla?" he'll just think... you're talking to yourself?
Lol Carla,
One of my classes I'm taking this semester is online, so I always can use the "I'm doing homework" excuse..as opposed to..blogging or reading blogs. Oh yeah I created a blog. :)
