Doggie, Please

My dogless days are numbered. I know. It's coming. I have a list of criteria in my brain for the dog that we have. No puppy days, yipping, howling, biting, scratching, jumping, sniffing of body parts of human friends and owners, no reckless relieving of themselves, no pregnancies. So. There's all that.
The countdown to our Dog Project is 2 years. This is most likely where our love of dogs will take us.Click on Available Hounds.
I heart Mo.

I can't BELIEVE it. I'm so happy for you. I was just about to email you (in a hinting kind of way) about how we are in search of a dog. But, you know, for now. Two years? Just wonderin'...
Good luck.

We're looking for a rescue dog, too, but so many families are that we've read, at least with golden retrievers, that if you have children 5 yo or younger, don't bother. They won't place strays with families with young kids. And they have lots of families applying.

That's ok. I'm just waiting for God to send us a dog.

You could get the smallest doggie available and still have to deal with the sniffing of body parts. That's how they get to know you...I know, not the way we'd choose, but reality in the canine world.

The puppies we puppysat are still available...and cuter than ever! I got to visit them last night. :)

Sniff my hand.

No puppies. No cocker spaniels. No piddlers. Don't look at me with your sad, beautiful eyes. Stop it.

gotcha.
Good luck with the goal.
Love the racing name.

(speaking of names, my word verification is 'gukgye.' Sounds like a Pokemon name - or Bakugan. (Was Josh ever into Pokemon?))
Enough from me :)

Definitely go with a hairless breed. My 20 month old came up behind me the other day and started rubbing the sticky lint roller over my pants. Nuff said.

Carla,

My family and I just went to the shelter and filled out an application for this beautiful little girlie puppy. She loves Gabriella, and she loves giving kisses. I realllllly hope we get her even though I hate dog training, and everything that goes with that. She's just sooo sweet, and we already picked her the perfect name: "Bella" :)

I hope Bella becomes yours SOON!! :)
