Went to Shopko yesterday to get my manchild Joshua's glasses fixed. There was no shopping list in my hand or in my purse. I was not trying to remember what I forgot in the midst of 4 voices shouting, "Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!" They wanted to see the toys. I said yes. They wanted to buy some toys. I said yes. I have stumbled upon the secret to shopping with 4. Let them shop.

Try this - when shopping, my son can go "visit" the toys for - oh 20 minutes or as long as you - or the sales clerk - can tolerate. Then mommy gets to shop.
