It's wonderful how you can take an image of something that displays an apparent shortcoming, then in two words your skill as a writer transforms the image into humor and art.
I have a lily upstairs that looks just like that. It has 3 dead stalks and one that is still alive. I'm told if I plant it outside it will still live. I'm waiting for the rest of it to die...it may be easier.
I hear ya, I had the cherubs for a few hours last week and watering plants never even came close to the radar. Plants schmants, you can have 'em later--plants will still be around.
