Chef Carla
I like to pretend I am competing on Top Chef when I cook supper. I get to decide if it's the Quickfire or the Elimination Challenge. It's usually a quickfire because, really, who cooks if I am eliminated?? Yesterday I made meatballs the Quickfire. I chopped those onions, mixed in those breadcrumbs, shaped that meat into perfectly rounded balls of meat, I cooked to perfection constantly watching that they were browning evenly(20 seconds!)and I sprinkled spices and said a prayer.(10 seconds!)As the last meatball turned, TIMES UP! UTENSILS DOWN! Whew. I won the Quickfire of course. Now I had immunity. My favorite judge Patrick gave me a thumbs up for the spaghetti meal while all the other shorter judges said the same thing. EW! No matter. I had immunity.

Now you know why I cook on high all the time - I am always in a Quickfire.
The short judges for my show always say that too. Congrats on immunity.
I've never seen the show, but I'm sure I can picture it just based on this.
Love this: all the other shorter judges. (Loved the whole thing, actually.)
But really, they don't like spaghetti and meatballs? Wow. It's a staple in my house. Pasta is about the only starch they all eat.
Thank goodness for the immunity. I think my shorter judges wish they could get an eater's immunity. Like a "Get Out of Dinner Free" card.
They wouldn't have used it tonight though. We had spaghetti and meatballs, too.
(oh, whoops. I thought you said the meatballs were yesterday. Oh well.)
i love that show. i play the same game when i'm fixing cereal.
Welcome MCC,
I love your sister and your niece!!
I love Top Chef!!! I was really wanting one of those yummy steaks they cooked the other day.
Hi Kristi,
The food always looks so good even if I can't pronounce it.
