Scoot

Joshua seems to be more cerebral than physical. Always thinking, that one. We tried to get him involved in sports at a young age. He was the one sitting in the outfield, picking at grass, he was the one carrying the basketball instead of dribbling it, he was the one chasing the kids who were chasing the soccer ball. Karate came and went as well. We have provided the opportunities. I am fine with whatever Joshua is ready and willing to do. It is with great pride that I announce that my son has learned how to ride a scooter. He even allowed his 7 year old sister to teach him. I enjoy watching him out the window going up and down the street, stopping to give his Momma a big grin and a thumbs up.

aww, good for him!
We tried the same things with Bubby too. Now he's 12. Last week he informed me that his plan for this sumer was to stay inside where it's cool, not invite nary a friend over (so he can have his video game play time all to himself) and never go outside because it's "too hot" and there are "too many bugs". Whose kid is this?
I stayed outside until the street lights came on and my friends had to go home!

Yeah Josh! Just think in 5 short years you can trade in the two wheels for four.
