As I try to help the littles speak English fluently, I come to adore their mispronunciations and almost hate to correct them. Timothy loves the movie Cars. Pronounced Chars. He has a little Lightening McQueen that he talks to. "Hi, Chars! Chars? Chars!"
I do my best as the ESL teacher around here.
Mom "Timmers, say Ca Ca Ca Cars."
Timmers "Ca Ca Ca Chars."

You are a great writer! Most days I just marvel at what you say with so few words and always I look for the 'punch line'.
Thanks for the a.m. laugh.
Ha! That tho fweet!
I applaud you for trying *L* I have several in my preschool class & it seems to be the moms biggest concern aside from pull ups at the age of 4 *sigh*
I'm always trying to get them to pronounce their letters correctly. When they do, I blow a bubble for them with my gum, which they think is the best trick ever.
The strangest one I have is the "th" for the F sound. I figure they wont be talking like that when they're 16 but ya gotta try, right?
Go Mom!
One of my older brothers had a hard time saying the "b" sound, Mom would do the same thing, "say b-b-b-button"
He would reply, "b-b-b-mutton"
Too funny!
my nephews always said "sootball"
we tried, but it came out as "fa fa fa sootball"
Hey thanks Karla with a K!! :)
All righty then,
I can't find Chars...
Hey Carla I have a good one for you..
My daughter thinks "hockey" and "thank you" are the same.
Mommy: "Gabriella, say thank you"
Gabriella: "Hockey"
Good enough for me!
Sweet girlybug!! :)
